Loop Service (Portland Streetcar) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Loop Service (Portland Streetcar)
The Loop Service is a circular Portland Streetcar line that connects downtown Portland, Oregon, to the Central Eastside via two crossings of the Willamette River: the Broadway Bridge to the north and the Tilikum Crossing to the south. It is composed of two services: the A Loop, running clockwise, and the B Loop, running counterclockwise. The line was known as the Central Loop Line (CL Line) from its opening in 2012 until the opening of Tilikum Crossing bridge in 2015.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.portlandstreetcar.org/node/193 )〕 ==History==
The Central Loop (CL) Line began service on September 22, 2012, running from SW Market to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) via the Pearl District.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.portlandstreetcar.org/node/33 )〕 The line cost $148.3 million to construct and opened five months late with 18-minute frequencies instead of the planned 15 minutes due to funding cuts by TriMet and the City of Portland as well as delays in streetcar delivery from United Streetcar. On August 30, 2015, a new temporary schedule eliminated the CL Line in favor of the A Loop and B Loop, extended from SW 10th and Market along the NS Line south to SW Moody Avenue & SW Meade Street in the South Waterfront. Streetcars began operating across the new Tilikum Crossing transit bridge on that date, but not carrying passengers across the bridge during a two-week transitional phase which was referred to as "pre-revenue service".〔 The line was formally re-branded as the Loop Service on September 12, 2015, when the opening of the Tilikum Crossing to the public permitted streetcars to begin carrying passengers on the route section across the bridge.〔〔
